The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, last night protested the attempt by the All Progressives Congress, APC, government to subtly enlist Nigeria among Arab nations to fight ISIS.<br/>
It was reported on foreign news last night that Saudi Arabia was building a coalition of 34 Muslim/Arab countries to fight ISIS and Nigeria was named among the 34.<br/>
According to Vanguard,a statement late last night by the General Secretary of CAN, Rev. Musa Asake, said:<br/>

 “This singular gesture of the Buhari government betrays so much, and tends to confirm our fears that underneath everything this government is doing, there is an agenda with strong Islamic undertones, aimed at undermining Nigeria’s pluralistic character and neutrality regarding government’s affiliation to any one religion.<br/>
“While joining hands with other countries to fight ISIS is something good, our country must not be tagged as a Muslim or Arab nation. Christians must make a public statement showing their discontent on this development which portends great danger to national unity and integration.”</div>

The man suspected of masterminding last Friday's Paris attacks that killed 129 people, was killed in the police raid north of Paris Wednesday, investigators confirmed. Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 27, was the second person to die in the Saint-Denis raid, the French prosecutor's office reported Thursday. He was identified from skin samples. <br/>
<br/>
Abaaoud had previously been linked to a string of thwarted attacks including the plot to kill passengers on a Paris-bound high-speed train in August, a plot that 3 young Americans helped foil.<br/>
<br/>
He claimed he successfully moved back and forth from Europe to Syria coordinating terror attacks, and narrowly escaped a January police raid in the Belgian city of Verviers.<br/>
<br/>
“Allah blinded their vision and I was able to leave... despite being chased after by so many intelligence agencies," he told the ISIS magazine Dabiq.</div>

<br/>According to a resident of the town, Souleymane Ali, who spoke with Reuters, the sect members killed about 50 people before abducting the women and children during the recent attack.<br/>
<br/>“They took 506 young women and children (in Damasak). They killed about 50 of them before leaving. We don’t know if they killed others after leaving, but they took the rest with them.”he said<br/>
