The recent issue of cars for legislators would fall into the same category. Whatever name it is disguised as, it is unnecessary and insensitive. A pool of a few cars for each Chamber will suffice for any Committee Chairman or members for any specific duty. The waste that has gone into cars, furniture, housing renovation in the past was mind-boggling and these were veritable sources of waste and corruption. That was why they were abolished. Bringing them back is inimical to the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.”<br/> <br/> <br/> Useni said that Obasanjo introduced corruption in to the National Assembly in the heat of his failed third term bid that he should not blame the same institution of the problem he allegedly started .<br/> <br/> He said: “He brought corruption to the National Assembly with the way he was giving out money to senators especially when he wanted to go for third term. He spent a lot of money he can’t account for. He urged Oba Ogunwusi not to relent in his move to ensure unity, stressing that Ife remained the source of the Yoruba race.<br/> <br/> He said, “I commend the role of Ooni in ensuring peace in Yorubaland. Continue what you are doing, especially your unity course. I am happy with the moves so far. It is only a sign of honour for the Ooni to visit anyone.
