Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, the militants allege that the dialogue being initiated by the Federal government with their group, is nothing but a delay tactic for an impending attack against them. They have now issued a warning to the government, threatening to destroy the country's economy. The statement read, 
 
 
"The NDA intelligence agency gathered that the said peace talk or dialogue by the federal government is a delay tactic employed by the federal government, to enable their purchased drones that are said to arrive latest end of August from the United State. This whole thing makes us to wonder what kind of country is this? We can all see that President Buhari led government is fraud. They are not serious about any dialogue and made it seems the Niger Delta Avengers are the ones not ready for dialogue. 
 
Mr. President you can purchase all the drones in Europe and Untied State. It won’t stop the Niger Delta Avengers from bringing the country’s economy to zero. The worse you can do is to kill poor innocent people which the military is good at but know the Nigeria Economy will suffer. Also note, you will not be able to export one litre of crude in the Niger Delta. Just intensify the oil exploration in the North East as for the ones in the Niger Delta forget about it because the Nigeria government won’t export a drop from our land."</div>

The group also warned against the deployment of helicopters in the South South zone by the military, saying it was going to bring them down. 
 
It also said once the deployment of the six missiles commences, no flight operations should take place within the country’s airspace. 
 
The group, which also claimed affiliation to the Niger Delta Avengers, said the missiles were capable of bringing down any aircraft no matter how big. 
It fixed June 7 for the commencement of the launching of the missiles. 
 
In a statement signed by four members of the JNDLF, the group said it had observed that President Muhammadu Buhari was bent on breaking up the country and that it was set for the proposal. 
 
The statement, signed by General Akotebe Darikoro, Commander, General Duties; General Torunnanaowei Latei, Creeks Network Coordinator; General Agbakakuro Owei-Tauro, Pipelines Bleeding Expert; and General Pulokiri Ebiladei of its Intelligence Bureau, reads in full: “We have seen and noted that President Muhammadu Buhari (a.k.a. Pharaoh) is set for the final breakup of the country. 
 
Mr. Buhari should also know that we are also prepared and set for his proposal. 
 
The Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC) which is the highest organ of all the freedom fighting body has finally endorsed the followings: 
 
1. After extensive and exhaustive deliberation by all Commanders of various groups in Yenagoa, the heart of the Niger Delta struggle met last night and as part of our mission, we are going to test six (6) of our MISSILES in the region. This is to show the federal government of our readiness of the American prediction. 
 
2. There should be NO any form of helicopter to fly around in the region as we will not guarantee the safety of such object. 
 
3. The people of the Niger Delta region should not be panic in course of test running the 6 MISSILES. 
 
4. We may also decide within the week to shut down the Nigerian satellite orbit, so that there will be no communication in the country if needs arise. 
 
5. Within our three (3) days operations, NO airplane should fly out of the country because it can target such object no matter how small or big it may be. 
 
6. Our Fighter Expert Team shall be position in the six (6) Niger Delta states, who are already arrived the region from training through our country’s porous borders with our foreign partners who are going to showcase what they have learnt in past on year. 
 
7. Our struggle is not for any human blood, but we have been pushed to the wall for justice because our patience is running out on daily basis as Nigerian uniform men killing our innocent people continuously. 
 
8. Nigerian military should as a matter of urgency leave peacefully the Ijaw communities they are presently in, the next 48 hours under the guise of searching for the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) or else we should not be blamed of whatever catastrophe that may befall on such officers and the likely affected families of the officers should blame not the region. 
 
9. We have consulted our war gods (deities) that enough is enough and that the time has come. Since the present Pharaoh of Nigeria, President Buhari is to preside over the disintegration of the country it is a good omen. 
 
10. Henceforth, any attack on Ijaw communities or person(s) by the military or para-military body in the region, we will not hesitate to order our shoot-at-sight squad of any uniform personnel in the region. 
 
11. We ask all Service Chiefs including Minister of Defence to shamefully resign their positions because Nigeria has no security in whatever form. Bravo to our Foreign Marine Crack Team for their ability to shut down Nigerian obsolete surveillance equipments. 
 
12. For the records, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) are not in Delta state, we only go there to strike and return back safely to the struggle base, Bayelsa state. 
 
13. We further warn especially Mr. Jonathan Obuebite, Information Commissioner in Bayelsa state not to criticize our activities any longer or else he has a choice of leaving the planet earth anytime he made such statement(s). 
 
14. All oil and gas operations should shut down immediately as our MISSILES testing will affect their equipments. 
 
15. NOTE, we shall commence MISSILES testing on Tuesday 7, June 2016 which coincide with the date of our training abroad. Since the present Pharaoh of Nigeria (Buhari) fails to our demands. We promised Nigerians and the entire world that we are going to surprise them.</div>

A Presidential source told SaharaReporters that President Buhari will be represented by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo 
 
The cancelation is not unconnected to security threats to the President from a newly formed militant group, Niger Delta Avengers who had threatened to kill the President should he step foot in the Niger Delta region. 
 
The president had blamed an ear infection for canceling the visit to Lagos where he was scheduled to commission some projects finished by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode two weeks ago. 
 
It is unclear if the President plans to attend the ECOWAS meeting scheduled to discuss issues of regional security and economic development in Dakar tomorrow.

He said the country deserves respect from all, appealing to political elite to assist in promoting and strengthening the bridge of unity. 
 
He said this while fielding questions from state house correspondents after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari. 
 
“I don’t think the state should submit to blackmail, for me I think the state‎ should be respected,” he said. 
 
“When you are dealing with security issues the options are not best discussed in the media. What I can say is that this president deserves the support of everyone and there is no part of Nigeria that can be better off without the other part.” 
 
“The sooner we accept this reality the better it is for all of us. The days of ethnic champions and imaginary divide will not help anyone. I believe that the president has shown leadership, he has shown determination to keep the country going, for once we are enjoying respect ‎in world capitals, in different continents. 
 
“We don’t need to be security experts to accept the universal truth that wherever there is insecurity there will be no investment‎ because no investor will go to where is unsafe. And where there is no investment poverty will be endemic because there will be no job for our people. 
 
“I appeal to all of us in the south-south, we need to wake up, it is for our own self interest that we make the region the most investor friendly that even challenges that we face, the assets being destroyed is not just national assets, it is our own assets. It is what makes the south-south the hub of the Nigerian economy and when we neutralise that through whatever pretenses, there is something Abiola said which I think is apt in this case, that is, a tree falls in the forest chances are it can only kill somebody in that forest,‎ not somebody at home. 
 
“So if somebody for whatever reasons decide to destroy pipelines and thereby compounding the problem of pollution, ‎the cost of cleaning up that area making it attractive either for fishing, farming or other business is a huge cost. Cost not just in naira and kobo, cost in terms of time and in terms of human lives. 
 
“But to compound those problems by breaking pipelines, stealing crude oil and destroying farmlands, destroying water ways, I don’t see anybody benefiting from that. So is very unfortunate, I think is important to say that the Nigerian state must not be demystified by gunmen and accept that the environment will be governed by gunmen.” 
 
He commended the government for its commitment to the cleanup of Ogoni land, appealing to the people to assist the current administration.</div>

Members of the emergent militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) who have claimed responsibility for the latest sabotage, said the action was to ridicule the Nigerian Army. 
 
The Avengers wrote on their Twitter handle that “with the heavy presence of 100 Gunboats, 4 Warships and Jet Bombers, NDA blew up Chevron Oil Well RMP 23 and RMP 24 3:44am this Morning. 
 
“This is to show the whole world that Nigeria Military is good in harassing innocent Civilians. RMP 24 and RMP 23 are Chevron Swamp Highest producing Wells. #Boom” 
 
Spokesman for the evasive group, Muddoch Agbinibo had specifically warned Chevron not to dare the Avengers by going about to carry out repair the Valve Platform which the group earlier blew up. 
 
Agbinibo had stated that no repair should be carried out in any of the facilities which they attacked until their demands were fully met, accusing Chevron of insensitivity to the plight of locals within the creeks. 
 
Agbinibo boasted: “We are capable of bringing down your tank farm if you continue with repair works on the blown valve platform. If you continue to undermine us and go ahead with the repair works you won’t see us coming but we are coming for you.” 
 
Meanwhile, scores of fleeing locals within villages of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State following the siege laid by the military are reportedly trapped in the bushes. 
 
Controlled movement within the creeks by the military has compounded the woes of the fleeing locals as they can no longer get immediate help from friends and relatives outside the hostile area. 
 
Fears of mass death of women and children of Oporoza, Kurutie, Kunukunuma, Kokodiagbene and some other villages is now very high, as they continue to take refuge in the bushes without food.

The meeting convened in Benin, Edo State, by the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Matters and coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul Boroh, and attended by Phase one, two and three ex-militants of the amnesty programme from Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Edo states, ruminated on how to put an end to reccurring bombings, particularly of oil installation and facilities. 
 
He expressed optimism that the outcome of the meeting would end the circle of violence in the region, saying, “we have all resolved that we will put our heads and hands together to prevent the re-occurrence of this type of thing. Collectively, we (Federal Government and Niger Delta Avengers) have agreed to work as a team to prevent re-occurrence. We feel bad that it is happening, it is affecting our economy and it is affecting development and we are very concerned about it.” 
 
Brigadier-Gen. Boro who spoke to journalists after the meeting, said the bombings in the Niger Delta was inflicting pains on Nigerians and reducing the economic fortune of the country. He called on those carrying out the bombings to discuss whatever issues they have appropriately rather than resort to other means.</div>
