I am sure you heard of the lady whom they were passing to one another who would be dramatising her hand because the nation wants to see the miraculous, they want to see the supernatural. The young men who were born in the fire of genuine revival need to be very careful or else all these guys who are just fakers of miracles who their God is their belly, they become the one that distracts. That He will build for me a city. When I shared it with my friends then, they thought I was mad. Then not so long we bought about 4 acres of land along the express and built a 100m by 50m auditorium. I rejected the idea, even though I loved beautiful designs, air-conditioned enclosures, exquisitely painted walls but that isn't what I heard from God. The Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, has called for the prosecution of former President Goodluck Jonathan for corruption. 
 
The Chairman of Lagos CAN, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, spoke in Lagos on Saturday on the sideline of an interdenominational service. 
 
While fielding questions from journalists, Bamgbola applauded the ongoing war against corruption in the country, adding that nobody should be spared. 
 
When asked about the stance of the group on the call for the prosecution of Jonathan, he said, “What is wrong with it? A former President of Peru (Alberto Fujimori) was jailed. Also, a popular prime minister of Israel (Ehud Olmert) was jailed. If a nation puts you in a position of trust and you betray that trust, you should go to jail no matter who you are. I have no sympathy for anybody. Just make sure you get it right, and we get the facts right as well.” 
 
 
 
He lamented the corruption in the country, urging the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to go after the looters and “put them where they belong, so that we may have peace in this nation.” 
 
The guest speaker, Prof. Joseph Otubu, who spoke on the topic, ‘Great Faith, the Antidote to Helplessness,’ urged the congregation to have faith in God and shun corrupt acts. 
 
The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, appealed to CAN to support the programmes of the state government. 
 
While quoting from 1 Corinthians 13:13, Ambode, who was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Lola Akande, asked members of the Christian body to embrace love and unity. 
 
The Senator representing Lagos-East Senatorial District, Gbenga Ashafa, commended CAN for being consistent in organising the annual service, saying it would help people in the country to have faith and the fear of God. 
 
He assured Nigerians that the senate would not cover up any shortcomings in the 2016 budget. 
 
Ashafa said, “The presidency will re-present the budget. I appeal to Nigerians to be patient as everything will be to the benefit of the country.”

We live in an era when almost everything seems to come automatically with the punch of a button or the click of a computer mouse. Fast food joints are littered all over the place. Growing up in such an era could make people to expect God to respond the same way - quick and instantaneous in everything every time. As such, when prayer is delayed, such people may find. Yet, the truth remains that there are enduring benefits and rewards that our perseverance and thankfulness in the place of prayer command, even when there seems to be a delay. Don't give up!

Though God may sometimes seem temporarily silent in response to our prayers, His silence isn’t meant to taunt or discourage us. At the proper time, He will bring the answer, allowing persistence to build our faith, sift our motives, and even reveal sins that may be the hindrance (though unanswered prayer isn’t necessarily an indication of sin). Let's keep persistence in our prayers and praises.

 During a live service in the church of the controversial South African minister, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, 'angels' appeared physically in the 4th overflow (wing of the church) after the prophet prayed for God to open the eyes of the people so that they would see and believe. As he was still praying, the angels manifested physically and it was caught  on camera.

He has a purpose and plan for our lives, one that includes hope and a blissful future Unfortunately, many are yet to experience God's love and purpose. This is because of sin; for sin causes a separation from God. Yet, God loves and offers us all the free gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, His Son. Through this transaction, He rescues us from the bondage of sin and satan, and transfers us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son ( Col. 1:13-14). It is a transaction that is done by faith. You can receive it by faith even now; it's as simple as ABC. Come, take the following steps today; for tomorrow may be too late. 
 A   Admit that you're a sinner in need of forgiveness. 
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23) "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." (Isa 53:6). 
 B     Believe that Jesus died for your sins. 
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). 
 C     CONFESS Jesus as Lord of your life. 
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus us v no of was efis Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Rom. 10:9) 
 Prayer to Receive Jesus as Lord and  Saviour 
Dear heavenly Father, 
I come to you in the Name of Jesus. Forgive me of my sins. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He was raised from the dead for my justification, and I confess Him now as my Lord. Thank you for saving me. I declare that i have now become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21). I am saved!

The many erroneous pictures the Media and others outlets paint about love make it hard for many people in the society, mostly teenagers, to have a good understanding of what love is all about. To properly understand love. 
We need to view it from God's perspective. This is because human love is fickle, while God is love personified. 
 
Of course, love unexpressed is of little value. Hence, God ultimately demonstrated His love by sending His Son to die for our sins. He expects us to reciprocate this gesture, even as we encounter His love and forgiveness. Daily, we need to demonstrate our love and gratitude to God in concrete, practical ways.

Wheaton College, an evangelical college in Illinois, has now begun the process to fire associate professor of political science Larycia Hawkins, after she made a controversial theological statement on Facebook that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. She had been placed on administrative leave after she posted on Facebook that she would wear a hijab during the Advent season in support of Muslims. 
“I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book,” “And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God.” 
During Hawkins’s administrative review process, which was paused over the holidays, Wheaton administration requested a theological statement, which Hawkins submitted. The college said in the statement. 
“Following Dr. Hawkins’ written response on December 17 to questions regarding her theological convictions, the College requested further theological discussion and clarification,” “However, as posted previously, Dr. Hawkins declined to participate in further dialogue about the theological implications of her public statements and her December 17 response.” 
Hawkins has been asked to affirm the college’s statement of faith four times since she started teaching at Wheaton nearly nine years ago, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Every day, we all come in contact with people who are trapped in prisons is of sin and spiritual darkness. Some were lured by demons of addiction into taking destructive substances such as cocaine, indian hemp, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks, etc; while some were lured into sexual sins of all sorts by demons of lusts. (This is just to mention but a few.) Many of them have tried to break free from their problems, but the devil wouldn't let them. But some don't even know they are in bondage - they have no idea of how different their lives would be if Jesus were at the centre. Yet, Jesus offers hope to all; for He holds the key that sets captives free.

 -   To understand the desperate condition of victims of spiritual bondage. 
 -   To know that only Jesus provides the hope and Power that set spiritual captives free.

 Nobody is so bad or so good that Jesus can't make obvious change in his or her life.
