Trinity Gay, 15, was a rising star on the track team at Lafayette High School and had placed multiple times at the state level. 
 
According to the report, Lexington police responded to a call of shots fired at a Cook Out restaurant just before 4 a.m. ET after two cars exchanged fire then drove away. Trinity, who was not in either car, was taken to UK Hospital with a gunshot wound to her neck but died from her injuries just before 5 a.m. ET. 
 
 
Tyson confirmed the tragic news Sunday on WLEX-TV, adding he is at the airport and on his way to his hometown of Lexington. 
 
"She didn’t make it," Tyson said. "I’m so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It’s so crazy. I have no idea what happened." 
 
Police are still searching for one of the vehicles involved, but are questioning two people as persons of interest because their car matched a description of the other vehicle involved.

According to the hotel owner, Mbwika Nzuki, Mr Njema was served with a letter from the police on Monday morning and he promised to pay the amount by 3pm. 
Mr Nzuki said at 3:30pm, the deceased excused himself from work before official time only to be informed of his employee’s demise on Tuesday morning. 
 
"According to me the main reason for his action is the money and the fact that the matter had been reported to police," Mr Nzuki told reporters on Tuesday. 
 
The hotel owner identified the man who was owed as a Mr Mutunga who works at the office of adult education and who is a regular customer at the hotel 
He disclosed that before the incident occurred Mr Mutunga asked him whether Mr Njema had been paid his salary and unknowingly he told him the salary was paid long time ago. 
 
"I normally pay them Sh5000 per month but there are those who prefer to be paid on weekly basis or after every two weeks but he preferred to be paid during the end of the month," he said. 
 
The deceased landlord, Edward Mtitika, he was informed about the incident by neighbours who saw blood flowing from the door openings, said he was a peaceful man. 
 
"This incident has taken us by surprise because he has been staying here for more than 5 years and all along he has been coexisting so well with others," Mr Mtitika said, adding that the deceased recently came to his house and asked for Sh100 to visit his ailing father whom he said had been hospitalized at Kinango hospital. 
 
Matuga OCPD Patrick Oduma, who confirmed the incident said investigations have been launched to ascertain the cause of his death. The body was removed and taken to Msambwei referral hospital mortuary.

The attacks came on the heels of massive jihadi assaults in the Muslim world last week. 
The deadliest occurred in Medina, where four people were killed and another person was wounded, an official with knowledge of the event told CNN. The city is a major spot in Islam because that’s where Prophet Mohammed is buried. 
 
The bomber, who died in the explosion, targeted security officers, but it is unknown precisely who was killed as at press time. 
In Qatif in eastern Saudi Arabia, a suicide bomber attempted to launch an attack at a Shiite mosque but failed, killing himself in the process, according to an official with knowledge of the event. There were no injuries. 
Near the United States Consulate in Jeddah, a suicide bomber killed only himself after detonating an explosive according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency. Policemen were injured in the attack. 
 
There were no claims of responsibility at press time. Attackers launched strikes last week in Turkey, Bangladesh, Yemen and Iraq, killing scores of people. They are claimed or thought to be carried out by Islamic States. The strikes came as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan ends and Americans celebrate the Fourth of July, their independence day. 
Reports said, early yesterday, the Saudi police became suspicious of a man who appeared to be roaming around a parking lot of a major hospital, the news agency reported. When officers approached him, the man detonated what appeared to be an explosive belt,. The explosion happened roughly 33 feet (10 meters) from the consulate’s wall. 
Witnesses told CNN the blast occurred about 3 a.m. local time and that it appeared that at least two police officers were slightly injured in the attack. The Saudi news agency reported that the policemen were slightly injured and that they were taken to the hospital. The report did not specify how many were hurt. 
 
None of the bystanders in the parking lot were injured in the attack, according to SPA. 
Police found three devices inside the bomber’s car. A bomb disposal unit used a robot to detonate them, said a journalist who was on the scene. 
The Saudi Interior Ministry is investigating the case, according to the SPA. 
 
A U.S. State Department official told CNN that all chief of mission personnel were accounted for. The bombing came after a week of attacks in Turkey, Bangladesh and Iraq, which have left many on edge. In 2004, the U.S. consulate in Jeddah was attacked by gunmen linked to al Qaeda, who killed five employees.</div>

His resignation followed a landmark referendum that saw the country voting to leave the European Union. 
Mr. Cameron voice broke as he announced the cabinet would meet on Monday to draw up a time-table for his exit as leader of the world fifth largest economy. 
 
 
A new prime minister is expected to be elected in October. 
A majority of British voters (51.7 percent) followed the call of Pro-Leave campaigners who had described the vote as an independence from the European Union oppression and bureaucracy that has resulted in mass migration into the island country. 
 
While England voted overwhelmingly for Brexit, Scotland and Northern Ireland backed the Remain camp. 
With Over 72.2 percent voters’ turnout (last general election in the country has 66.1 percent turnout), many pro-Leave campaigners, led by leader of far-right UKIP party, Nigel Farage and former mayor of London Boris Johnson, are already seeing the referendum as a rejection of the leadership of Mr. Cameron, who campaigned vigorously for Britain to remain in the EU. 
Despite a strong showing for the Pro-remain campaign in London and Scotland, majority of British cities voted to quit the EU. 
Mr Cameron’s Tory party rival, Boris Johnson, who hasn’t hidden his desire to become PM is seen by many as a possible successor. 
 
“I think the Boris Johnson momentum will be unstoppable,” Steven Fielding, a professor of political history at the University of Nottingham told the Washington Post. 
“Cameron will try to find a dignified exit. But it’s not clear how long the backbenchers will give him to do that.” 
Mr. Farage, who already admitted that the Pro-remain were going to win the referendum, recanted and claimed victory for the historic decision. 
“We have got our country back,” he tweeted. “Thanks to all of you.” 
Let June 23rd go down in history as our Independence Day,” he shouted with arms held high to his supporters. 
Although Mr Farage is claiming this as a personal victory, many political analysts see the possibility of his anti-immigration far-right party occupying No 10 Downing Street as far-fetched. 
Gisela Stuart, Vote leave campaigner and Labour MP, addressed Manchester Town Hall this morning. 
She says, “We have just taken control. 33 million people went to the ballot box and made a democratic decision. They reflected on our 40 year history and by a majority they have decided to leave. 
“I think that is democracy at work.” 
Pound crashes to three-decade low 
The news of the Britain exit from the EU caused immediate backlash to the country’s economy as the sterling crashed to 9 per cent against the dollar – its lowest value since 1985. 
Financial analysts also fear more debilitating consequences of the decision on the world’s fifth largest economy in the coming days. 
“People will be waking up this morning to turmoil in the markets and the pound crashing, and fearing the emergency budget the Chancellor threatened to hike their taxes and cut public services, said shadow chancellor, John McDonnell. 
“The Government must now take steps to stabilise the economy, and to protect jobs, pensions and wages. Labour will not allow any instability to be paid for by the working people of this country,” he added.</div>

Violence in Turkey has escalated recently as a result of tensions with Kurdish separatists and the conflict in neighbouring Syria. 
The explosion happened near the city’s historic Beyazit Square neighbourhood, a major tourist attraction. 
At least 36 other people were injured, Istanbul’s governor said. 
Pictures showed the wreckage of a bus destroyed and the facade of nearby buildings damaged. Armed police were also seen next to the site. 
Reports said gunfire was heard in the area after the blast.

They have not established his identity conclusively, a senior Belgian counter-terrorism official said. 
 
The official added that they are still checking against DNA and fingerprint records. 
 
Meanwhile, ISIS have posted a statement claiming responsibility for the two bomb blasts which occurred in the departures area of Zaventem airport and one on a metro train in an apparently coordinated attacks at the height of rush hour on Tuesday morning, March 22. 
 
A third explosion reportedly hit Maalbeek metro station, close to EU institutions. 
 
The BBC reports that the metro system and airport have both been closed, and all public transport in the city suspended.

Two explosions were heard at the airport, while another blast rocked the Maalbeek metro station 
 
The Belgian government has confirmed casualties at the airport and Maalbeek metro station. 
 
There were conflicting reports regarding the tolls, however, Frederic Van Leeuw places the figures at 31 dead and 270 wounded. 
 
Brussels transport officials had earlier said 15 died at Maalbeek and media say up to 13 died at the airport. 
 
Meanwhile, the mayor of Brussels is quoted to have said on Tuesday that 20 people died and 106 were injured in the blast on the metro train. 
 
Yvan Mayeur told a news conference that 17 people were severely injured. 
 
Public broadcaster VRT said at least 34 people were killed in total, at the metro and the airport. 
 
The whole metro system was closed on Tuesday, and Belgium’s terror threat remains at its highest level. 
 
The attack at the airport targeted an American Airlines desk and was probably carried out by a suicide bomber, Belgian federal prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw said. 
 
 
According to Belgian TV, one of the blasts in the Brussels airport was caused by a suicide bomber. 
 
At the time of filing this report, Belgian police say they have found three unused suicide belts at Zaventem airport. 
 
Belgium’s interior minister, Jan Jambon, said on Monday the country was aware of the risk of a possible revenge attack following the capture of 26-year-old Abdeslam. 
 
 
“We know that stopping one cell can … push others into action. We are aware of it in this case,” he told public radio. Daily Post reports that the building partially collapsed at about 8.45 am on Saturday, March 19. 
 
 
According to investigation and assessment conducted by the LASEMA’s emergency response team, the building had shown sign of distress as some portion of the balcony was caving in. 
 
LASEMA’s spokesman, Kehinde Adebayo, told newsmen that full scale investigation as to the actual cause would be carried out by relevant government agencies. 
 
He said a 47-year-old woman sustained bodily injury and died on her way to the hospital, and no other casualty was recorded.

“Twenty-two people died immediately following the blast and three others died later in the hospital, bringing the total number of deaths to 25,” said Mohammed Kanar, the northeast coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). 
 
“This is apart from the two suicide bombers who also died,” he said on local television. 
 
 
Kanar said NEMA has begun to provide relief materials to the families of those affected by Wednesday’s attack. 
 
The bombing, carried out by two women disguised as men, hit the Molai district of Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram which has been repeatedly targeted by the Islamists in the past. 
 
The attack was only the second this month in northeastern Nigeria and came after four raids and suicide bombings in February and eight in January believed to be the work of Boko Haram — a marked fall since last year. 
 
There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Wednesday’s bombing bore all the hallmarks of the Islamic State affiliate, whose insurgency has left at least 17,000 people dead since 2009.

Gunmen on Wednesday struck in Otuoke, former President Goodluck Jonathan’s hometown, abducting the ex-President’s first cousin and foster father, Chief Inengite Nitabai. 
 
The 72-year-old Nitabai, a prominent chief of Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was whisked away at about 3.30am in his residence by seven heavily armed men. 
 
Though details of his abduction were sketchy, a security source, who craved anonymity, told THE PUNCH that the gunmen allegedly gained access to Nitabai’s residence from the back through the creek. 
 
The victim’s residence is located beside a creek, some distance away from a military checkpoint close to the Otuoke bridge, off the Onuebum-Otuoke Road. 
 
Nitabai is described as the head of the compound from where the former president hails from. 
 
It was learnt that the septuagenarian, though cousin to the former president, had been acting as father figure to Jonathan since the death of his (Jonathan’s) biological father. 
 
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Asinim Butswat, confirmed the abduction. 
 
Butswat said, “On February 17, 2016, at about 0330 hours, seven unknown gunmen abducted Chief Inengite Nitabai in his residence in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area. 
 
“A massive manhunt has been launched by a combined team of Marine Police and Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command, to rescue the victim and arrest the abductors. Investigation is ongoing.” 
 
Nitabai was abducted two years ago by 10 armed men and spent about three weeks in the kidnappers’ den before he regained freedom. 
 
Upon his freedom in March 2014 when he was 70 years old, Nitabai, a former university lecturer had narrated his ordeal on how his abductors fed him with garri and oil for the gruelling three weeks he was held captive. 
 
He had also said throughout the period of being held hostage, he was blindfolded.
