According to Facebook user,Aremo Oriola, the couple had been sending money to the man's brother to help build houses. When they came home for the holidays, the brother cooked food and sent to them. They were found dead the next morning.<br/>

No. AGL 664 XG) this morning Sun 25th,  fell on a moving car in Lagos and killed the one occupant.<br/>
A witness told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the incident happened at about 4.08a.m at Ikorodu roundabout.<br/>
He said that the tanker, laden with 33,000 litres of petrol, fell while trying to turn at the roundabout.<br/>
“The tanker fell on one Hyunda saloon car with Reg. No. KJA 421 AH, trapping the only occupant in the car – a male – who died before help could come,’’ the source said.<br/>
Confirming the incident, the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Mr Rasak Fadipe, said that timely intervention of the service prevented fire outbreak from spilling petrol.<br/>
Fadipe said that the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Federal Road Safety Corp, police and some other emegency managers also acted in time to prevent more havoc.<br/>
“The truck was carefully lifted upright, while the dead body was removed by LASEMA response team with the use of light duty equipment.<br/>
“The corpse was taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital mortuary.<br/>
“The vehicles were cleared off the road and handed to the police,’’ he said.<br/>
Also commenting, Mr Adeshina Tiamiyu, General Manager of LASEMA, advised motorists to stop over speeding.<br/>
He urged them to adhere to all traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents.</div>

According to the hotel owner, Mbwika Nzuki, Mr Njema was served with a letter from the police on Monday morning and he promised to pay the amount by 3pm.<br/>
Mr Nzuki said at 3:30pm, the deceased excused himself from work before official time only to be informed of his employee’s demise on Tuesday morning.<br/>
<br/>
"According to me the main reason for his action is the money and the fact that the matter had been reported to police," Mr Nzuki told reporters on Tuesday.<br/>
<br/>
The hotel owner identified the man who was owed as a Mr Mutunga who works at the office of adult education and who is a regular customer at the hotel<br/>
He disclosed that before the incident occurred Mr Mutunga asked him whether Mr Njema had been paid his salary and unknowingly he told him the salary was paid long time ago.<br/>
<br/>
"I normally pay them Sh5000 per month but there are those who prefer to be paid on weekly basis or after every two weeks but he preferred to be paid during the end of the month," he said.<br/>
<br/>
The deceased landlord, Edward Mtitika, he was informed about the incident by neighbours who saw blood flowing from the door openings, said he was a peaceful man.<br/>
<br/>
"This incident has taken us by surprise because he has been staying here for more than 5 years and all along he has been coexisting so well with others," Mr Mtitika said, adding that the deceased recently came to his house and asked for Sh100 to visit his ailing father whom he said had been hospitalized at Kinango hospital.<br/>
<br/>
Matuga OCPD Patrick Oduma, who confirmed the incident said investigations have been launched to ascertain the cause of his death. The body was removed and taken to Msambwei referral hospital mortuary.<br/>

<br/>According to a report on The Sun, a 34-year-old man, Solomon (surname withheld) killed his 11 year old son for sleeping with his 8 year old sister.<br/>
<br/>Confirming the incident, Wilson Inalegwu, the commissioner of police FCT command, described the incident as pathetic and a troubling demonstration that has crept into the Nigerian society.<br/>
<br/>Inalegwu said Solomon has been arrested but urged parents to keep a close eye on their children and be mindful of the kind of movies they are exposed to at home.<br/>
<br/>At the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, where he is being held, Solomon has been bemoaning his action.<br/>
<br/>According to reports, the 34-year-old has been cursing the evil spirit that led his late son into the error of committing incest with his eight-year-old sister (name withheld).<br/><br/>
<br/>Narrating what happened on a Sunday evening, Solomon said that he came home one day in April 2016 and saw his young son engaged in sexual act with his younger sister right in his bedroom.<br/>
<br/>“Victor was my son, an 11-year-old boy. I had been receiving bad reports about him. The height of it was that he started sleeping with his sister, who is eight-years-old. I had been receiving several reports about the ugly incident. Around 4.00 pm, I came back from work and met Victor sleeping with his sister in my bedroom. The stepmother was not at home,” Solomon said.<br/>
<br/>Overcome by anger, he rushed out again, picked up a stick and beat him severely. The beating caused the little boy to go into convulsion and then lost consciousness the next day.<br/>
<br/>He was however rushed to Gwarinpa General Hospital by benevolent neighbours of the family. Sadly, the 11-year-old boy died soon after he got to the hospital.<br/>
<br/>The father, who earlier in the day had gone out was summoned to the hospital by phone. When he got to the hospital and introduced himself, the doctor informed him that his son had died.<br/>
<br/>The doctor detained him on pretext and promptly called the Gwarinpa police station, which sent policemen and Solomon was arrested.<br/>
<br/>The doctor told the police that the boy died as a result of internal injuries he sustained in the course of being beaten by his father.<br/>
<br/>Following his arrest, Solomon from Igbo-Eze North local government area of Enugu state, said: “I wept when the doctor told me that my son had died. I didn’t have the intention to kill my son. I was trying to correct him because of the immoral act he committed. How can I beat my son to death? I couldn’t believe what I saw. I only acted in anger; I never wanted to kill my son.”<br/><br/>
<br/>Speaking on the incident, a neighbour of the bereaved father, Ali Ahmed said: “We heard when the father was beating the child. He beat him to correct him for what he did. The son was very stubborn. The father never had intention to kill his son.<br/>
<br/>“What the doctor did that night in the hospital was bad. How could he call the police to arrest the father of the dead boy? We were expecting the doctor to tell the father how to carry the corpse of his son. It is a lesson to every parent.”<br/>
<br/>Another neighbour, John Gabriel, however, had a contrary view.<br/>
<br/>He said: “What the doctor did was right. The doctor thought that the father would run away upon hearing that his child had died. The parents of the boy are good people. It was me that even called the father on the phone to meet us at the hospital.”<br/>
<br/>Meanwhile, CP Wilson Inalegwu has said the matter would be charged to court.<br/>

The former prostitute who revealed how she had to abort 320 pregnancies while still in Libya recently, was said to have been very sick while she granted that interview in April 2016.<br/>

Abigail had mentioned how she was in fear for her life, because she had been promised death by the Libya human traffickers should she have to expose them.<br/>

Sharing the sad news, human rights activist and private investigator for Alliance of Rights Defenders (ARD) Tunde Oshokoya, had this to say:<br/>

“It is with heavy heart that we announce Abigail’s passing. She died after a brief illness she came down with while she was in Libya. Since we rescued her, we took her for treatment but she gave up the ghost. It is sad that ARD, an NGO took up the responsibility to rescue and rehabilitate trafficked victims without any assistance from government”.<br/>

Abigail was rescued alongside three other girls out of the 500 that were trafficked by a couple, Alhaji Muritala Sanni and his wife Alhaja Lateefat Sanni.<br/>

This time, a 25 year old Florida man, Benjamin Angus Middendorf, has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of his older brother whom he shot and killed on Thursday in an argument over a cheeseburger, Police said.<br/>

Benjamin shot his 28 year old brother Nicholas Middendorf once in the chest, Fox 35 Orlando reported.<br/>
In a 911 call released by the St. Cloud Police Department, Benjamin Middendorf said.<br/>
“We were in a fight and I grabbed a gun and I shot him. Oh my God!”<br/>
His mother then took the phone from him and told the dispatcher during the 911 call that her son had killed her other son.<br/>
“Where is your son who shot your other son?” the dispatcher asks the woman.<br/>
She replies, “Right here holding my son,” and then is overheard saying, “I hope you go to jail.”<br/>
<br/>
Police responded to the 911 call around 10:30 p.m.<br/>
“I can tell you that there was some sort of argument, sadly over a cheeseburger, whether he wanted one or not," police spokesperson Sgt. Denise Roberts told Fox 35.<br/>
“He admits that he does own a 9-mm. gun and he obviously puts himself on scene," Roberts said. "He picked up the phone. They called 911, cooperated fully. But as far as a full confession, no. At this point he said he didn't recall."<br/>

An arrest affidavit says Benjamin Middendorf, his brother and their mother had been drinking with friends, celebrating Cinco de Mayo, but Benjamin Middendorf told detectives he was not drinking, that he didn't know how the argument escalated.<br/>

<br/>The minister, who died on Sunday, March 6, 2016, also had his wife in the vehicle which had a burst tyre before somersaulting and killing two occupants immediately.<br/>
<br/>Ocholi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), also lost his son in the incident which has generated a lot of reactions from colleagues and close business associates.<br/>

According to Daily Trust, the minister reportedly died yesterday March 6 in an accident on his way to Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital territory.<br/>

According to Premium Times, the incident occurred along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday afternoon with the driver and wife in critical condition at Doka clinic which is several kilometres from Kaduna.<br/>

The minister’s car reportedly had a burst tyre on the run and somersaulted several times before the death was confirmed. Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s minister of Information and Culture, when contacted, noted that he was away in Lagos and was trying to confirm the incident.<br/>

The senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, however, stated that the presidency had been informed, adding: “We are trying to issue a statement on the matter.”<br/>

<br/>The cause of death, according to the statement, has yet to be ascertained.<br/>
<br/>When contacted to confirm the identity and whereabouts of the corpse, Ola declined to comment, saying that there was nothing more to say than to confirm that a female passenger was confirmed dead on arrival.<br/>

Details of the cause of death were sketchy as at press time just as the identity of the passenger was not disclosed. It was, however, learnt that the woman was on her way to the UAE to seek medical attention.<br/>

Spokesman for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr. Yakubu Dati, who confirmed the incident, he said some airport workers spotted the corpse of the woman at bout 6:30am.<br/>

“The corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.<br/>

Yusuf Salami, the Oyo State Sector Commander of the commission, told the News Agency of Nigeria that 79 persons were injured in the crash.<br/>
Mr. Salami said that the accident, which involved an articulated vehicle and a Peugeot J5 bus, occurred at Sepo area of the highway.<br/>
<br/>
Mr. Salami said the accident occurred due to impatience, over speeding and struggle for the right of way by both vehicles, which were travelling from Ibadan to Lagos.<br/>
<br/>
“A Peugeot J5 with number plate XS 626 LSV and a DAF articulated vehicle with number plate AA 902 MML, crashed as both drivers were struggling for the right of the way.<br/>
“They were both going to Lagos when the accident happened at about 9.30 a.m. (on Sunday),’’ he said.<br/>
<br/>
“There were 96 people involved with 17 confirmed dead; it is obvious that both drivers were over speeding and suddenly lost control of the vehicles.<br/>
<br/>

“The Peugeot bus was loaded with passengers and goods but the casualty figure rose because the other vehicle was travelling to Lagos with huge number of illegal passengers,’’ he said.<br/>
Mr. Salami said that the corpses had been deposited at the Adeoyo State Hospital morgue in Ibadan, while the injured were taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan Central Hospital and Kejide Hospital.<br/>

The incident triggered pandemonium as the traders along Ahmadu Bello Way by Jos road scampered for safety when they noticed the driver had lost control.<br/>

An eye witness ,who claimed to have escaped being hit by the bus said when the driver lost control, <br/>
the vehicle wobbled for about 500 metres creating a loud noise as it moved.<br/>
<br/>
“We were not sure of what went wrong, we just saw the bus moving towards us, but we were lucky that it hit a culvert and stopped.<br/>
According to him, the driver was foaming at the mouth as soon as he was brought out of the vehicle, and from all indications, he was suffering from epilepsy, and some people rushed him to hospital.<br/>
Several passersby were said to have sustained injuries and were rushed to different hospitals in the metropolis.</div>

Emphasising the fact that the perpetrators of the crime would be found and dealt with accordingly, Interim Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said, “The notion that someone would be bold enough to take the life of a child, take the life of a young woman and think that there would not be consequences is simply unacceptable.”<br/>

David was in her first year as a teacher at Bradbury Heights Elementary School in Prince George’s County, officials said.<br/>
<br/>
“All of us at Prince George’s County Public Schools [are] deeply saddened by the loss of NeShante Davis and her young child. Crisis teams are available at the school for all of our students, staff and their families as long as they need it,” said a statement from the Prince Georges’s County Public Schools.<br/>
<br/>
Prince George’s County Police are investigating the shooting as a double homicide, which “frankly shocks the conscience,” said Stawinski.<br/>
<br/>
Police said that they have “very viable investigative leads,” but would not share any other information on suspects or possible motive, citing the ongoing investigation.<br/>
<br/>
Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said that once a suspect is apprehended, her office would “spare no resource” to bring the shooter to justice.<br/>
<br/>
“This is absolutely unacceptable in any civilized community that a child should be killed in this way,” she said.<br/>
<br/>
Authorities are asking that anyone with information on the shooting contact police.</div>

An eyewitness who participated in the search, but declined to be named, reiterated to a source on  Wednesday  that in addition to the three bodies recovered from the foundation of the building, skeletons, as well as female bags were recovered from the site.<br/>

“We even saw some female bags at that scene, which suggests that some women must have also fallen victims,” he disclosed.<br/>
<br/>
Meanwhile, Tricycle Riders’ Association, popularly knows as ‘keke riders’, identified three of the victims in the suspected ritual killing as their members.<br/>
<br/>
Chairman of the union, Ikah Benjamin Ejimofor, who led executive members of the association on a condolence visit to the Enugu Central Mosque at Asata Enugu, described the gruesome murder of the keke riders as “most wicked and despicable.”<br/>
<br/>
He gave names of the victims as Babangida Sale, Ashahabu Dauda and Ismahil Abdulahi.<br/>
<br/>
On Monday, three dead bodies were exhumed from the foundation of a building project, located along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.<br/>
<br/>
Ejiofor, who fought back tears as he spoke, described the killing as most barbaric and against the principles of life.<br/>
<br/>
“Our members render important service to the society and it is so bad that the same people we serve should turn back to treat us this way.<br/>
<br/>
“We are grieved so much over this colossal loss and, that is why we are here to commiserate with the Hausa community in Enugu. We are, indeed, in this tragedy together. We are so much pained.”<br/>
<br/>
Giving insight into the incident, he said the keke riders left their different units on Saturday but never returned, adding that, “a search party was later organised and that is the result of what we saw on Monday.<br/>
<br/>
“At this moment, our plea to security agents is that this evil should not go unpunished; no stone should be left untouched in a bid to bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to book.<br/>
<br/>
“We cannot categorically say whether they were killed for ritual or not, because, even their tricycles have not been found; so, we are leaving that aspect for security agents to unravel. ”<br/>
<br/>
He advised keke riders to, henceforth, stop picking people to drop them in isolated areas.<br/>
<br/>
Also speaking, one of the leaders of the Hausa community in the state, A. A. Sambo, described the death of their brothers as most shocking.<br/>
<br/>
“We lack words with which to describe this situation; it is so sad that vibrant young men left home in the morning in search of their daily bread but never returned alive. It is so sad that they were hacked to death in such manner.”</div>
