TOPIC: GREAT LOVE
TEXT: Luke 7:36-50; Ephesians 5:2
MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 5:2
...walk in love, as Christ also hast loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling saviour.
>>Getting started
The many erroneous pictures the Media and others outlets paint about love make it hard for many people in the society, mostly teenagers, to have a good understanding of what love is all about. To properly understand love.
We need to view it from God's perspective. This is because human love is fickle, while God is love personified.
Of course, love unexpressed is of little value. Hence, God ultimately demonstrated His love by sending His Son to die for our sins. He expects us to reciprocate this gesture, even as we encounter His love and forgiveness. Daily, we need to demonstrate our love and gratitude to God in concrete, practical ways.
>>Goals
- To understand that love must be demonstrated by what we do, not just what we profess.
- To know how we can express our love and gratitude to Jesus for forgiving us;
- And the need for humility and the danger of pride and selfishness.
>>Music Connection:
Play this Song, AT THE CROSS by CHRIS TOMLIN.

>>Ministry Activity
The Alabaster jar of perfume the woman anointed Jesus with was a sacrificial expression of her love and gratitude to the Lord. Find a was this week to make a sacrificial expression of your love and gratitude to the Lord (make out time this week to work in the church; save the money you should have used on groundnut, soft drinks, etc, and send it to a local orphanage or donate it to missions).
>>Daily Dew Drops
