A serious social media campaign has been all over Europe in search of the little boy who wore a blue and white striped plastic bag with the inscription 'Messi 10' baring Messi's Argentina Jersey
The picture was first seen on Turkish fan blog and was said to have been captured from a war-torn region of Dohuk in Iraq.
Messi10stats, an extremely popular fan-run account with almost 700,000 followers, later claimed to have been in contact with the Barcelona captain's representatives.
