In the Netherlands, two driverless electric vehicles began travelling around the city of Ede covering a distance of 3.5 miles. The buses, named Wepods, represent glassy boxes with no steering wheel or any other operator controls. The vehicles are summoned to regular stops by a special application and open their doors. Carrying capacity reaches up to 12 passengers at a time. The Wepod’s speed is 15 miles per hour.
