A corp member named Hodo Bassey has done the unimaginable in Cross River as he took his 33,000 Corper allowance to the Cross River State Commissioners of Health to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic that have made the whole world to standstill.
Dr Betta Edu, the Cross River Commissioner of Health received Hodo Bassey who wants to help fight the pandemic that has killed thousands of people in the world.
While others are praising him for giving out the little he has to the government to fight the pandemic ,others who the kind gesture of the man as an act of foolishness for trying to help those who are supposed to be ones to help him.
Others says, his 33k will not even add any meaningful achievement to the fighting of the pandemic as he just wasted a cash he should have used during this period of lock down and self Isolation.
Cross River State is yet to record any case of Coronavirus while Akwa Ibom their neighbour, have 5 cases as of yesterday but Governor Ben Ayade has announced a total shutdown in the state to curb the spreading of the virus into the state.
Nigeria record her first case of Coronavirus on February 27th in Lagos, ever since then, the figures has increased to 157 with 2 dead and 9 recovery as Lagos, Abuja and Osun States leads with the highest numbers of recorded cases.
According to you, Did Hodo Bassey giving his one month allowance to the Commissioner of health a right thing to do or his act can be classified as a foolish one?
